Príruba je zvyčajne vyrobená z medeného niklu alebo striebra.Odolný substrát je vo všeobecnosti vyrobený z oxidu berýlia, nitridu hliníka a tlače oxidu hlinitého podľa požiadaviek na energiu a podmienok rozptylu tepla.
Prírubové zakončenie, podobne ako olovené zakončenie, sa používa hlavne na absorbovanie signálových vĺn prenášaných na koniec obvodu, zabránenie odrazu signálu od ovplyvnenia obvodu a zabezpečenie kvality prenosu obvodového systému.
Prírubové zakončenie má vlastnosť jednoduchej inštalácie v porovnaní s patch rezistormi vďaka svojej prírube a montážnym otvorom na prírube.
