Príruba je všeobecne vyrobená z spracovania niklu alebo striebra v medi. Substrát rezistencie sa všeobecne vyrába z oxidu berýlium, nitridu hlinitého a tlače oxidu hlinitého podľa požiadaviek na energiu a podmienok rozptylu tepla.
Ukončenie prírub, podobne ako olovené ukončenie, sa používa hlavne na absorbovanie signálnych vĺn prenášaných na koniec obvodu, zabránenie odrazu signálu ovplyvniť obvod a zabezpečiť kvalitu prenosu systému obvodu.
Prírubové ukončenie má charakteristiku ľahkej inštalácie v porovnaní s rezistormi náplasti kvôli jej prírubovej a montážnej otvoroch na prírube.
